Sons of Valhalla combines side-scrolling combat mechanics and strategic base-building in a Viking Age world designed in an eye-catching pixelated style. You'll play Sons of Valhalla as Thorald Olavson, a warrior sworn to track down the Jarl, who stole his lover and fled to faraway England after burning his home to the ground.
However, it is impossible to achieve victory alone in this foreign land. That's why you'll need a band of warriors and a fortress from which to launch your search and conquests. While building and strengthening your fortress and producing resources, you will also personally lead your warriors to engage your enemies and lay siege to their settlements.
BUILDING A STRATEGIC OSS
Base building plays a key role in achieving your goal. Develop your towns and manage your economy effectively, or raid neighboring villages to take what you need by force. Constantly build up your forces to deal with the military might of your enemy. Embark on campaigns across the countryside to conquer villages, gather resources and recruit new warriors to your ranks.
▪️ Construct and upgrade various buildings to produce resources, store supplies, or offer advanced training or skills for your warriors. Turn your villages into massive fortresses with well-armed troops and powerful siege weapons.
▪️ Fortify your villages against attacks, because enemies will not be idle in the face of your attacks. Watch as conquered border towns turn into contested battlegrounds, as places conquered while vulnerable can easily change hands again.
▪️ Raid nearby settlements that you are not ready to conquer and hold. Take everything you can carry with you and weaken the enemy forces. Look for the right moment to come back stronger to finish your unfinished business.

But remember this: True warriors go first. So get ready to pick up your sword to fight shoulder to shoulder with your warriors.
▪️ Assemble a variety of troops to fight alongside you, from basic swordsmen and archers to warriors with better weapons and armor. The key to success in battle is using the right troops in the right situation.
